Baby on board has a whole new meaning…
What I was looking for?
An event coordinator to help out with the busy summer season at my restaurant.

What I got?
An emergency baby delivery on my party boat during our second interview becomes a life changing moment for both of us. Now I have to convince the brand new mama that I’m forever dad material—and the man who will love her forever.

Author's Note: Restaurant owner Mason Brooks has never believed in forever until a surprise baby and feisty new mom showed him what he was missing. Baby, Be Mine is a standalone romantic comedy with a happily-ever-after ending and no cliffhanger.

Sometimes as a read you just feel the connection between characters from the start and that’s what happened with Mason and Emma. I adored this story from beginning to end. ~ Sharon – Simply Love Books

Baby, Be Mine was all kinds of ooey, gooey wonderfulness. A surprise, early baby delivery during a second job interview was not on restaurant owner Mason Brook’s or interviewee’s Emmaline (Emma/Emmy) Hauser’s bingo card, but that’s what they got and it changed both their lives forever in a good way.  I love when a character is put in an uncomfortable and unusual situation and shows up big time and that’s exactly when Mason did when he realized Emma was in active labor on his new party boat/barge, an extension of his successful restaurant The Mason Jar. Sometimes as a read you just feel the connection between characters from the start and that’s what happened with Mason and Emma. I adored this story from beginning to end.

I really appreciated that Emma despite the father of her child not being in the picture and the fact she was only twenty-two was determined to stand on her own two feet and be the best mother she could be to her baby and that meant getting the event coordinator job for the Mason Jar II even at eight months pregnant. While it didn’t quite work out the way she planned, it was obvious she had amazing ideas, was a go-getter, and felt connected to the restaurant and the land. Emma had a big, supportive family back in her hometown but didn’t relish the thought of going back there as an unwed mother or leaning on her parents. I admired that a lot.

After the online interview, Mason felt strongly about Emma and considered her a front runner for the job, but finding out she’s eight months pregnant and he has a full summer schedule had him on the fence. When Emma has her baby on his barge during the 2nd interview, he knows she won’t be able to take the position, but she aims to show him what she’s made of.

I loved the way they tried so hard to keep things professional, but Emma was a force to be reckoned with and brought such light into Mason’s life, something he hadn’t realized was missing. While I wasn’t thrilled about the incident that send Emma running home to her parents or the fact that Mason just let her go, I was happy with the ending. My biggest complaint, I wanted more time with them as a couple and I felt a bit cheated.

Baby, Be Mine was another fabulous installment in Crescent Cove series; a series I can always count on to make me smile and make me happy.
