Samhain Publishing was the first publisher to grant Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews ARC’s (Advance Reader Copy) for review and because of that our reviewers and blog readers have discovered so many fantastic authors. With Samhain closing their doors, we decided to spotlight some of our favorite authors and with each spotlight we are giving away a Samhain title from that author! We hope you enjoy meeting some of our favorite authors and maybe discover a few new authors to love!

Spotlight book: Rock Me
Blub: Loving him couldn’t be worse than losing him. Could it?
Candace Andrews has had enough of pleasing others. In an act of birthday rebellion, she sets out to please herself—by walking into the tattoo parlor owned by her cousin’s ex-boyfriend. All she wants is a little ink, and Brian’s just the guy to give it to her.
As soon as she submits to his masterful hands, though, the forbidden attraction she’s always felt for him resurfaces…and she realizes the devilishly sexy artist could give her so much more.
Sweet, innocent Candace is the last person Brian expected to see again. She’s everything he’s not, and her family despises him. He doesn’t need the hassle, but he needs her, and this time no one is taking her away. Not even those who threaten to make his life a living hell.
Backed into a corner, Candace faces the worst kind of choice. Cave in to those who think Brian is a living nightmare…or hold her ground and risk it all for the one man who rocks her world.
Warning: This book contains explicit sex, naughty language, tattoos aplenty, family drama, a hot rock concert…and a bad boy hero who’s pierced in all the right places.

Let me just start this out by saying Brian Ross is a sexy mofo!! He’s every good girl’s wet dream.

He’s tattooed, pierced, a hard rock fan, and cusses like a sailor. Everything about him is the epitome of the man I wanted in high school. I think a lot of women will feel the exact same way. He’s wanted Candace Andrews for a long time. She’s been his ‘sunshine’ since he dated her cousin, Michelle. When she goes into his tattoo parlor and asks him to give her a tattoo for her birthday, it gives them a chance to reconnect. After he gives her the tattoo, he forks over his number in case she has questions about her ‘aftercare’. They hem and haw around each other for a little bit, but when they finally connect with one another – damn is it hot!! She’s a curious virgin and he’s an experienced man with a certain piercing that will have you using your googlefoo for pictures. (Try not to do it around other people…the pictures are pretty hot!)These two immediately know that they care deeply for one another, but outside forces attempt to pull them apart. Including their own fear of loving each other. What transpires is a great love story. Including a hot scene that will have you wishing you had a boyfriend/husband to take you to a hard rock concert. Trust me on this! This is the classic good girl/bad boy love story that everyone loves. Brian is really his own worst enemy, but you want so badly for him to succeed that you just can’t help but love him. Candace is so scared to upset the people around her, she almost loses the one thing she’s always wanted. In the middle, you have these amazing glimpses into the lives of these two characters and it leaves you wanting more. The cast of supporting characters is amazing as well. The tattoo parlor, Dermamania has some of the most colorful characters that I’ve ever read. Ghost especially. Candace’s friends are also very colorful in their own ways. From what I understand, there will be another book in this series & I truly can’t wait! Please do yourself a favor – go download this book and then spend the night reading it. You won’t be sorry!

Spotlight on Cherrie Lynn
1. When did you begin working with Samhain publishing?
I actually began working with Samhain as a final line editor in 2007, but I had always wanted to be an author. Through that position, I was able to learn so much from their wonderful editors. Once I finished writing Unleashed, I submitted it there first. It was accepted in 2008 by Linda Ingmanson, (who I continued to work with through the years and is fabulous–she also does freelance editing at LindaEdits.com). It was published in April of 2009, and the rest is history!
2. Was Samhain your first publisher?
Yes, they were, and it couldn’t have been a better experience for a newbie author. Everyone was professional and very nice to work with.
3. Now that this chapter in your life is closing, what’s up next for you?
I have a brand new project underway, and I am so excited about it! I can’t disclose details yet, but hopefully I’ll be able to announce soon. I can’t wait to let everyone in on it. I also plan to continue self-publishing any future Ross books for now.
4. Where can readers find you on social media?

5. Do you have another Samhain author you love to read and if yes, who is it and what’s your favorite title by that author?
I’m throwing back a little, but I *loved* the Demons of Dunmore series by Gia Dawn, so good! Brazen by Maya Banks was another favorite.

How good of you to honor the company that granted you the ARC’s for so many good authors and their books.
