What happens when you cross a left-wing, new age vegetarian yogi with a right-wing, carnivore uptight lawyer? A hotter than Hades unlikely love story that was impossible to put down. Smart, funny, engaging and so very, very sexy; this is a book you do not want to miss. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures
Description:
Her free spirit will snap his iron control.
Penny Irving has been unlucky in love—most recently with a man who stole her rent money before skipping town. She’d love to forget the experience, but it’s next to impossible when the louse’s brother walks into her naturopathy clinic.
She’d slam the door in Greg Danvers’s face—if she didn’t need the cash he’s offering for yoga lessons. It’s only a week out of her life. No harm done…until the tightly strung lawyer infiltrates her naughty fantasies with wild and wicked abandon.
Greg shut down his immediate attraction to the free-spirited Penny because she was his brother’s girl, then because he thought she broke his brother’s heart. Once he learns the truth, though, resisting temptation is impossible.
There’s only one problem. Their incredible night together doesn’t put his infatuation to bed. Now he wants her more than ever. He just has to convince the once-burned, twice-shy Penny that he’s willing to break all the rules for her.
Warning: Features a vegetarian, new-age hippy who doesn’t believe in impulse control, and a red-meat-loving control freak who believes everyone should play by his rules. Heated arguments and even hotter sex ensue.

That old adage opposites attract is the premise for Sami Lee’s Imperfect Penelope and I loved every last minute of this book! What happens when you cross a left-wing, new age vegetarian yogi with a right-wing, carnivore uptight lawyer? A hotter than Hades unlikely love story that was impossible to put down. Smart, funny, engaging and so very, very sexy; this is a book you do not want to miss.
Penelope (Penny) Irving hasn’t had the best luck with men and her last lover stole her rent money before skipping town so when his brother, Greg Danvers walks into the naturopathy clinic where she works he is really the last person she wants to see, but hearing his problem and needing the money she agrees to private yoga lessons for one week.
Both these characters took me by surprise; it was easy to think that Penelope would be a bit flighty and anti-establishment but she is smart and wants nothing more than to find a man to settle down with, one that treats her right. Greg seems very staid but with Penny he shows a completely different side; he’s adventurous, funny, and once they become intimate we find out Greg is one hell of a dirty talker. In all honesty, it seemed like they brought out the best in each other or they felt comfortable enough to show each other all sides of themselves.
While they both have some baggage they bring into the relationship and both make some mistakes for the most part they deal with them in an adult like manner and don’t let things fester. I loved that this book was low on angst and high on sexy fun and romance.
Imperfect Penelope is author Sami Lee at her best!
