Embracing the Fall really was a brilliantly written dynamic and only went to prove that in any unorthodox relationship communication is key. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures

Cami and Ziporah are two girls that couldn’t be more different if they tried. They met as college roommates, forging a friendship that became a lifeline when tragedy struck.

Now as Cami opens herself to reclaim her sexuality, including the possibility that she is a sexual submissive, her fear of the unknown threatens to keep her chained by the past forever.

Ziporah has always been Cami’s champion, reassurer, her safe place, and she is determined to take this erotic journey side by side with her. What starts out as supporting a friend just may end up showing Z that she and Cami may not be so different after all.

When Evan moved to New York City on business, the last thing he expected was to have two untrained subs on his hands. Each woman appeals to him in different ways. They pull at his emotions with their vulnerability and challenge his Dominance with their spunk and wit. Evan never dreamt that as he taught their bodies to submit, his heart would be brought to submission by theirs.

**Reviewer’s notes: There is a recounting of a sexual assault on one of the heroines in this book. It isn’t graphic, but it is there and therefore we like to let our readers know as this can sometimes be a trigger for some people. Secondly this is an F/M/F ménage but there is no sexual contact between the two women.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into the latest book in Lainey Reese’s New York series all I atruegemawardknew it featured an F/M/F ménage, but Embracing the Fall is every bit as good as the books that have come before it. There was a sizzling sensuality to this book that upped the heat factor quite a bit; two women, one wanting to explore submissiveness and the other along for moral support, a Dom realizing he wants both women, a bond forged through Buffy the Vampire binge watching and shots and a love that grows with each day.

Best friends since college Cami and Ziporah (Zip) survived an attack that shatter one physically and both of them mentally. Determined to help her friend reclaim her sexuality Zip introduces Cami to some friends who are submissives; a ton of research later and a lot of procrastination Cami is scheduled to meet up with a Dom that one of the submissives has hand-picked for her and rather than canceling Zip offers to go along admitting curiosity into the kink factor. When both women are drawn to Evan and he to them, their education into the world of BDSM begins and soon all three realize there is more between them than any of them ever thought possible.

I loved the interactions between these three and the complete and utter devotion the two women had towards one another even before they began this journey. Evan…wow I was impressed with his ability to not only handle two women but to completely master them and the way he made sure neither one felt slighted. The man ruled at multitasking! There was no jealousy between the two women and I have to give Evan credit for making sure each of the women knew they were special in their own right and he adored each of them for individually just as much as he worshipped them. While he did spend a little one on one time with each of the women, they were quick to share their experiences with each other and revel in what the other had been given by their Dom. Evan knew these women were very different in their approach to the lifestyle and he proved that he was more than able to handle the task of meeting both women’s needs both mentally and physically. The BDSM scenes were well choreographed, the sex was hot and the connection between these three uninhibited. This really was a brilliantly written dynamic and only went to prove that in any unorthodox relationship communication is key.

There were a couple of big missteps that could have gone so much differently had the girls not shared the bond they did and had Evan not understood enough to back off. I appreciated that while he was there for support, he had confidence in their abilities to handle their lives and they proved without question they were very strong and capable women.

Each moment of this story was special and characters were written with great emotion and strength and the three of them together were a formidable triad. Some times books make you think and Embracing the Fall did just that, in addition it was an amazing journey of three people brought together by chance but finding a love they never imagined.

Thanks for sharing! I’ve got this series on my TBR after reading one. I haven’t read an author I liked with 2 females before, but i’m looking forward to this one.
