Wow! After 24 hours I still can’t get out of my mind f****ry from reading Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher. atruegemawardI mean if you’ve read her other books like The Opportunist, Thief or Red you know that she loves to take your mind, chew it up like bubble gum and then spit it out while going 90 mph on a highway all while grinning. But this book surprised me. There was no true hype to the book so I wasn’t even sure going into the book exactly what it was going to be about. With that said HOLY SH*T this book was definitely a 5 star for me. This wasn’t exactly romance although the book is based on unconditional and true love, but it was more like a suspense/ physiological thriller. I’m going to give my review and thoughts with trying not to give any spoilers. With that said, it will be hard to do so I will put the blurb in here now that there may be spoilers listed below. You have been warned!

Senna Richards is a hermit by choice. She doesn’t trust and does not like being noticed. In all of her life people she has come to love have left her either physically or emotionally. Life manages to deal her blow after blow to a point I questioned myself how would you move on? Fate steps in by the name of Isaac Asterholder. But like with everything else once feelings emerge Senna leaves before she can be left. Isaac tries to save Senna emotionally and turns to love her but is love enough? Can Senna love? In order to test these theories life steps in, by way of a psycho. When kidnapped Senna and Isaac are left alone, what lessons do they learn to live and survive? What will set them free? Can only the truth can set you free? Will Senna find the truth before it’s too late? What will the truth cost them?

The amount of detail put into each character’s personality and place in the story is amazing. And the plot twists and turns so quickly and perfectly. The minute I had something figured out Ms. Fisher turned it all around in my face. At times I wasn’t sure reading this story if I wanted to hug my kindle or throw it (lovingly of course). This is defiantly not an HEA that everyone would be happy with but given the story and characters it fits the story perfectly. I STRONGLY Suggest this book. 5 stars truly doesn’t feel like enough to me I actually gave up on my life for hours to stick with this book I haven’t been held captive for that long to that degree in a LONG time. Be warned there aren’t many love or sex scenes in this book, it is a story of love but not the way most books these days are. This at times is more of a physiological thriller, I would be afraid to meet Tarryn Fisher in a back alley given how her mind works. If you are looking for something to hold your attention and is different than most books out today grab Mud Vein!
