Hello Oliver!! Welcome to Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews!! Thank you so much for having me. I’m really excited to get the opportunity to do this interview, so let’s get to it. Shoot!
- Why did you decide to become a writer? I don’t know that I decided per say, as opposed that it just really happened. It all started in the 3rd grade when I won second place in my school in the creative writing contest. From there the seed was planted that maybe I had a little unrefined, raw talent for this biz. From there I started reading a ton and started a million failed stories. The more I read and wrote, the better I got. I actually have two full novels completed for a Fantasy series, but I still have some editing to do before I can start submitting it out.
- Who’s your favorite author, and why? Jim Butcher, hands down. He has a knack for writing witty, smart ass remarks in his dialogue, which I am a total sucker for. If you follow me on facebook and see my posts, you’ll quickly see that I am quick on the witty humor, so he’s right up my alley. The other thing Jim does so well is gives his characters so many realistic flaws that make them so interesting you can’t help but feel they real. He’s also a wizard when it comes to surprises and quick turns that you just didn’t see coming. There’s nothing like being hit out of nowhere with shock and awe.
- What does your family think of your writing career? Well, my children are blissfully unaware of the erotica I write (thank god), but my wife is highly supportive, as she is involved in the erotica writing business as well.
- What can you tell us about The Escort? That you will be powerless against your urges to buy it! In a nutshell, The Escort is about excitement. It’s about a husband who is not getting the attention he thinks he deserves. He pays good money for the night of his life, but he finds out real quick that he is getting his money’s worth and much more than he anticipated. Early word round the campfire is that it’s “hawt”.
- What’s next for you? I’m writing a paranormal erotica right now call Thrill of Chase. It’s about a stuntman who has agents of good and evil fighting over his soul. Very seductive agents…after that I have a story about a knight who makes and indecent proposal, and then I’ll be working at a sexual misadventures book for the comerotica category.
- What do you do to relax and recharge? My day job works me about 50 to 55 hours a week, so I write to relax and recharge. I also enjoy watching hockey games, playing video games with my boys, and then being a loveable smartass on facebook.
- What is your favorite drink? The Strawberry Surf rider smoothie from Jamba Juice. I love lemonade and that smoothie is as tart as it comes.
- We all have them… What is your guilty pleasure? There a some songs from the eighty’s that I will blast in my car, but my lowest, dirtiest guilty pleasure is the first Karate Kid Movie. I swear, the movie is a like a car accident on the road that I end up slowing traffic to gawk at. If I am flipping through channels and land on it, I just slow down and stare until the commercial hits and breaks me out of my stupor. Sweep the leg, Johnny!
