When the Chaos Motorcycle Club came to call, Harlan "Hugger" McCain wasn't ready to be welcomed into the fold. They said he was a legacy. He felt like an outcast.

But he patched in anyway.

And he was all in to be a part of their not-quite-outlaw missions.

This takes him down to Phoenix, right into the orbit of Diana Armitage, a beautiful, green-eyed woman with a heart of gold and a scarily honed tendency to sacrifice for pretty much everyone she cares about, and some people she barely knows.

Hugger has been existing. Life has never given him much, now, he expects even less.

Diana lives life to its fullest. And she doesn't keep it a secret she wants to drag Hugger right along with her.

But Hugger is certain he's got bad blood. He's got one foot in Chaos, one foot out. One foot in Diana's life, one foot out.

Diana and his brothers in Chaos have their work cut out to show Hugger who he is.

That he belongs.

And he's worthy to be loved.

She lives life to the fullest.
He doesn’t know what hit him.

Smooth Sailing is, to me, one of her best MC books that she has written. ~ Jami – Simply Love Books

Boy, this book, Smooth Sailing!  It is somewhat hard to put all of my emotions that I felt reading this book into words.  This is, to me, one of her best MC books that she has written.
The majority of this takes place in Phoenix but it is most definitely mostly about Chaos and some of their history.  Kind of felt a little like a full circle moment to me.  This story is about Hugger (Harlan) and Diana.  Hugger and a few other members head to Phoenix at the request of Resurrection MC to protect Diana since she is helping a woman who has been assaulted.  The beginning of the book starts out with some drama and then transitions to more about Diana and Hugger and their relationship.  We learn more about Hugger, his history and how he realizes that while he does not have a blood family, he has a “found” family in Chaos.  We learn more about Diana, how she felt that she needed to help this woman and her history with her family.  Towards the end of the book, there is a little more drama but the majority is about Hugger and Diana’s relationship and how nothing in life is “smooth sailing”.
Though this is part of the Wild West Series, it felt like it is more part of the Chaos Series.  We see more members of Chaos, a few from Resurrection MC, and some from other series, hence my full circle moment.  Definitely a 4 star read!!
