“A more evolved male would probably shed a few tears for your anemic $ex life since we’ve been apart. Me? I’ll commit to giving you 0ral sex to make up for every hour I missed…”I've been a single father so long that I don't remember life without my adorably sassy 10 year-old daughter. Don't want to, actually. I love being a father more than I ever expected to, and ever since my daughter's mother left us, I've mostly been abstinent. Making me quite a catch around our home in small town Baby USA, Crescent Cove.
But all I want is a second chance with Bridget, Carrington's mother. My high school sweetheart and first love.
My forever love if I get my way after she shows up to my charity calendar reshoot and we end up losing our clothes…on camera.
A fun and steamy story from Taryn Quinn, don’t miss Second Chance Baby. ~ Sharon – Simply Love Books
After this couple reunited in the last book in this series (Driven Daddy), I was excited they were up next. Travis Masterson and Bridget Sheppard were high school sweethearts and became young parents, but fueled by insecurities and PPD, Bridget fled and Travis has pretty much raised 9 year old Carrington (Care Bear) alone with the help of his family. When they are both contracted for a charity calendar and book cover shoot, they are reunited and it’s like no time has passed and the heat between them turns their photo shoot x-rated.
It becomes obvious early in this story that both Travis and Bridget have never gotten over each other and their bond is strong despite the distance between them. I especially loved how happy Carrington was to have both her parents around and they all get into the spirit of Halloween decorating. Yes, they moved at warp speed, yes they decided to let the past stay in the past and move forward, and yes it was all really easy considering ten years had gone by, but it is The Cove and people are just happier in Crescent Cove.
I enjoyed all the cameos by so many couples from books past and was super happy for Travis, Bridget and Carrington.
A fun and steamy story from Taryn Quinn, don’t miss Second Chance Baby.
