Chloe
Left high and dry and deeply in debt by a con artist ex, the only way out is a job I swore I’d never do again. Manual labor. It is the opposite of my dream job, plus I don’t want my parents pressuring me to take over their tree farm. But the pay at Pine Ridge Prunery is good, as are the benefits. One of which is hella-sexy arborist Brad Calhoun. We make a good team—in more ways than one—but I plan for this job to be temporary while Brad’s angling to settle in for life. The last thing I need is to depend on another self-employed man for a job.

Brad
I’ve never believed in love at first sight. Then I met Chloe. What’s not to love about a strong, confident woman who can wield a chain saw with ease? When I discovered she needed a job, I had no hesitation in recommending her for the open position at the tree service where I work. Except I’m stuck with two problems: dating coworkers is against company policy, and Chloe insists we aren’t compatible despite our chemistry. Then why does my heart float whenever she’s around?

I loved Pining For You; it was well written and held my interest from start to finish. ~ Sharon – Simply Love Books

One of the reasons I love Leah Braemel’s books is the characters are so relatable; characters that work hard, don’t expect everything handed to them, and just want to be able to live their life on their own terms. Pining For You features Chloe, she’s divorced and her ex did her dirty and it took help from her parents to clear her name. She retuned back to her home town and has been working as a waitress, but finds out that soon she’ll be unemployed. It also features Brad, a certified arborist who works for a small tree service company and has a heart of gold helping the elderly with jobs around their home. Following a storm, they meet at the residence of an older woman Chloe is checking on for her dad who is a property manager and Brad is there to see about a tree that fell on the property and sparks fly.

Chloe is a bit hesitant about getting involved with Brad because she doesn’t trust easy after what her ex did to her and she realizes he’s 9 years younger than her. However, he’s interested and isn’t worried about the age gap and she decides it doesn’t have to be serious it can just be fun. While she does run when she overhears Brad talking to a friend, they did talk it out and in turn she told him about her past and she was able to help him with a business venture.

These two had serious chemistry, but more than that it was easy to see they were both good people with similar values. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop.

I loved Pining For You; it was well written and held my interest from start to finish.

About Leah Braemel

Leah is the only woman in a houseful of males that includes her college-sweetheart husband, two sons, a Shih Tzu named Seamus and Turtle the cat. She loves escaping the ever-multiplying dust bunnies by opening up her laptop to write about sexy heroes and the women who challenge them.

Readers won’t be surprised by cliffhanger endings, and all of Leah’s books offer a happy-ever-after ending, no killing off main characters for her.
