I'm Never Harbor's neighborhood best friend. Along with being the middle child in a loud family of seven, I'm accustomed to being everything to everyone. But after moving into my new townhouse by the sea, my world has suddenly grown too quiet.
But then she moves back to town.
Marina Starkey is my landlord's daughter with nowhere to go. She needs a place to stay for the summer, and thankfully I'm just the kind of guy to offer.
Hello there, new roommate.
She's gorgeous and cheeky with a stubbornness that matches my own. (Don't get me started on the shared bed situation.) Summer days pass in soft touches and afternoon swims, and my heart sinks deeper with every stroke.
I'm not a temporary fling kind of guy, and Marina has no intention of staying past the summer.
She doesn't want to fall in love with her hometown, and I'm basically Mr. Never Harbor himself.
But my home is quickly becoming wherever I'm with her.
OUT WITH THE TIDE is a forced proximity, roommates to lovers romance with lots of sizzling, slow burn spice! This is book two in Never Harbor, a series of interconnected stand-alone contemporary romances inspired by Peter Pan.

I fell in love with the Davies family in Off The Hook and after finishing Out With The Tide, I love them even more. My biggest problem with this series, I want all the books NOW and I kind of want to live in Never Harbor and be friends with these people.
After being fired from her job in California through no fault of her own by a gaslighting boss, Marina returns home to Never Harbor and goes to her Dad’s townhome she believes is empty only to find a man who is not her father sleeping in the bed. After verifying he’s not a threat she realizes he is Cassidy, one of the Davies siblings and after Marina realizes her dad is shacking up with a woman who has been like an aunt to her she agrees sharing the townhome with Cassidy is her best option while she tries to straighten out her life and find a job.
From the start I felt a connection between Marina and Cassidy and their relationship stated with friendship and grew. These was something almost magical watching these two individuals find a support system in one another while they both worked to find their place in the world. Marina was dead set on only spending the summer back in her hometown, but we watched her begin to realize how special the town and the people are with the exception of her ex-boss who shows up just to make her doubt everything. Then there is Cass; I almost classify him as a Beta hero despite him being a fitness trainer he is just so kind and wonderful to anyone who needs help yet he doesn’t believe that he has much to offer to the world. The way their relationship played out was so sweet and special and when it turned intimate, man did we see a different side of Cassidy. I honestly wonder if we’ll see Cassidy running for Mayor one day because he has that something special that draws everyone into his orbit.
This book was just special, it was heart-warming, fun, and while Marina had a moment of doubt neither Cassidy nor her dad was going to let it fester for long and I loved how they made her see they both wanted and needed her in their lives.
I absolutely loved Out With The Tide and am so looking forward to the next book, but seriously spring 2025!
