He wants a nanny, not a bride…
Suddenly guardian to twins, Viscount Dominic Kelbourne is luckily betrothed to a suitable lady—until she elopes. With no time to woo, Dominic decides to marry his fiancée’s unconventional sister. Torie isn’t perfect, but their kisses are so passionate that society thinks he’s actually chosen her.
She wants to marry for love…
Torie has never been able to make sense of words on a page, so she has turned her talents to art. She longs for a man who values her as she is… but marries for the sake of the twins. She doubts Dominic is capable of love, let alone respect, but as their heated debates turn into something more, Torie begins to imagine a life as a wife, not a nanny.
But when the arrogant viscount finds that his viscountess has stolen his heart, he’ll have to give all he has to win her love.

First in a new series, the Viscount in Love is a classic Eloisa James tale with style and subject. Viscount Dominic Kelbourne’s life has turned upside down in a matter of months when he becomes the guardian of his twin niece and nephew, and his fiancé elopes with another man. He had hoped Eleanora Sutton would be the perfect viscountess when he picked her for her stellar qualities but didn’t realize she didn’t want an instant family. However, it is her sister, Victoria/Torie Sutton who has grown fond of the twins and catches his eye as his future wife. Now he needs to convince her he wants her for his wife and not just a nanny. However, Tori is holding out for a love match. Torie has dyslexia, and accepts her limitations and her prospects of finding a match, and pours all her time into her paintings. Torie finds Kelbourne attractive but knew he was her future brother-in-law, but now she doesn’t want to be considered as a substitute. Could she find love with Kelbourne?
I found the whole story very entertaining and fully absorbed into what would make this attraction and couple work for the long run. They appear to be totally opposites, Dom being very serious and Victoria a little more free-spirited. She can’t help her being attracted to Dom’s physique and has definitely fallen in love with the adorable and quirky twins, Florence and Valentine. Dom makes all kinds of overtures for Tori to take him seriously and she accepts his offer of marriage and when she does, it still isn’t an easy pill to swallow, when his actions don’t seem honorable. Men having mistresses has never sat well with Torie and it becomes a point of contention and maybe the deal breaker when it comes to them actually getting married. This in itself becomes a bit of a twist in the storyline which makes it a really interesting story. I liked her writing style, and the way her characters develop over the course of the story. The twins and the forbidden list added humor and were a delight when they showed up, and that Torie’s paintings became important to the couple themselves. Historical romance readers will be delighted with The Viscount in Love and have a delightful time reading it.
