Having escaped the nightmare of her first marriage, Mellie and her son are finally safe. Working as a housekeeper at an idyllic New England inn, living under new names, Mellie has everything she needs: her son, her friends, and her gardening.
Enter Ty, the sexy, charming, and protective mechanic who doesn't seem to mind her complicated past. Mellie isn't looking to risk her heart again, but when they unexpectedly end up housemates, she begins to wonder if there's something missing from her life after all.
Like any good mechanic, he's good at fixing broken things, and he's been hard at work fixing her heart, showing Mellie and Kase what a real family could be like.
But they both have something to hide. When secrets surface and truths are revealed, can their love survive?
All In Thyme is my favorite in this series to date. I truly enjoy the vibe of the inn and the people attached to it and am enjoying this series. ~ Sharon – Simply Love Books
I thoroughly enjoyed All In Thyme and while it CAN be read as a standalone I feel in this instance, reading the first two books in the series will give you a feel for the heroine. Both the MC’s are hiding something and yet they are drawn to each other so it takes them a long while to come clean; Mellie because she fears for her life and that of her son, Kase and Ty because his life depends him keeping his secret. Despite the fact they weren’t completely honest with each other, I could also see how much keeping their secrets bothered them both and it was that reason I was invested in their story and very much wanted them to get their HEA.
Mellie and Kase arrived in Freedom Valley a little over a year ago and Mellie became the housekeeper for the inn. Her boss Evan (hero in book 1 – Falling Inn Love) knows her story but all anyone else knows is that she needed a new place to live and a home for her and her son. In her spare time Mellie loves to grow herbs and vegetables for the inn’s cook to use to serve to the guests. While she doesn’t mind her housekeeping job as it supports her and her son, she thrives in the garden and longs to build an even bigger one. When it is suggest she and Kase move to the bunkhouse so she can use their garden shed apartment to start more plants, she finds that it is already occupied by Ty, a part time mechanic and part time worker at the plant in town. Ty is also the man she’s met a few times and she in intensely attracted to him.
I liked the pacing of this story and the fact a water leak has Mellie and Kase moving into an extra bedroom in Ty’s home. I liked that Ty realized right away what was up with Mellie without her telling him and he was patient and gentle with her and he was a friend to Kase as well. I enjoyed watching Mellie blossom and open up a bit more with the friends (found family) she’s made at the inn and the way Ty found little ways to make her dreams come true.
All In Thyme is my favorite in this series to date. While I would have liked more time with this couple after all their secrets came to light, I’m hoping there will be glimpses of them in books to come. I truly enjoy the vibe of the inn and the people attached to it and am enjoying this series.
