A new male / male hockey romance from 24-time USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen!

My name is Hudson Newgate, but my teammates call me New Guy.

That was my nickname in Chicago, too. And Vancouver. That's what happens when you keep getting traded. Brooklyn is my last chance, especially after my poor performance last season.

But I can make this work. The new guy knows to keep his head down and shoot the puck. The new guy puts the game first.

What he doesn't do is hook up with the other new guy-a hot athletic trainer who lives in my building. Gavin needs this job with my team. He's a single dad with responsibilities.

We can't be a couple. My arrogant agent-who's also my father-will lose his mind if I'm dating a dude. And my team needs me to score goals, not whip up a media circus.

Too bad Gavin and I are terrible at resisting each other...

Throughout this book emotions ran high in many different ways which made this book all the more rewarding. I loved pretty much everything about this book and found it hard to put down. ~ Sharon – Simply Love Books

Wow, I really loved The New Guy by Sarina Bowen and yes, I realize I’m late to the party. I love a great meet-cute and this one goes from cute to steam pretty quickly only for it to be stopped abruptly when they realize they both work for the same hockey team.

I was blown away by the depth of these characters, the depth of the relationship development, and the plot that often changed directions. The attraction between them was evident from their first meeting but both are in weird places in their lives. Hudson is working on making a name for himself on the team he joined last year and wants desperately to belong, but he’s also hiding a big part of his life. Gavin is still healing following the death of his husband and being a single father to their child while getting back into the workforce in a new city. They found the right guy at the wrong time, yet their chemistry makes it difficult for them to stay away from one another especially when Gavin’s daughter Jordyn, becomes Hudson’s number one fan.

There was no doubt that Hudson knew he was happier when he was with Gavin, but struggled with coming out because of a prior incident and the fact his father who is also his agent gets in his head way more than he should and twists him up. I felt Gavin was extremely patient with Hudson and at times I felt Hudson took advantage of that.

Throughout this book emotions ran high in many different ways which made this book all the more rewarding. I loved pretty much everything about this book and found it hard to put down.
