This series has been so interesting. Each couple has their own story, but in each one they are all very close and supportive. Nurse Nessa Hale has been on a lot of first dates. After another disappointing evening, she is attacked on the way home. Her friends rush to her side. Ronan Crawford has always had a secret attraction to Nessa. Now that she needs his help, he makes his move. This was a really sweet story about two people finding each other against all odds. I really enjoyed this book and loved seeing all the Phoenix group band together when one of them needs help. There is also a very suspenseful twist thrown in.

Stacey Kennedy takes us on a journey about Nessa and Ronan, two friends who start realizing they feel more about each other than they realized, after Nessa is attacked on her way home from another horrible first date. Ronan takes care of Nessa, making sure she’s safe, and eventually their relationship becomes physical. Nurse Nessa has taken a special interest in a boy at her hospital. Ollie is suffering from cancer and his mom can’t afford his treatment. Ronan comes up with a special method using both himself and Nessa, and another couple to raise money for the boy, but Nessa’s attacker is waiting in the wings to finish what he started. Can ex-SEAL Ronan keep her safe from a madman?
The sex scenes were hot, the plot interesting, and the characters well drawn. Overall, a really good read!
