The Party Is Over
The Party is Over will definitely hold your interest from start to finish especially if you are an arm-chair sleuth and love romantic suspense. ~ Kitty – Simply Love Books
The incomparable Lilah Love-Mendez is back and faced with new challenges (not stabbing people) and new revelations about herself. But, they are things that we knew and understood about her. No matter what she did in the past, she’s not a true murderer. She intelligent, beautiful, has a heart of gold, loves with her whole heart and is probably one of the best heroine’s I have ever read.
Filled with suspense and intrigue, The Party is Over will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering who the killer is, who’s next and what the connections are between all of them. From Leatherface to Scream, the killer keeps you guessing as who he will impersonate next. Old faces and new will come and go throughout the story. Jack was introduced in Happy Death Day and was really starting to get on my nerves but, in the end, he proved himself. He was also a bit of comedic relief in a story that was extremely stressful. But, Jay is definitely growing on me. He’s finally starting to hold his own against Lilah.
And then there was Kane battling his own demons, his ultimate love for Lilah and the fear that he faces (even though he won’t fully admit it) every time she is called to a scene. He has his ways of coping with it but, ultimately, he puts his faith in her and the love she has for him. Until it’s time to face what he’s been fighting for years and do what he’s said he was going to do. End it. So he does what he has to do only to find out that the end just maybe the beginning.
As for the ending of this book, wow, just wow. Jaw dropping and amazed don’t even describe how I felt at the end. Of course, our mistress of cliff hangers is going to keep us guessing as to where the next installment of the F*** off queen is going to go next. Things are changing and it’s going to get extremely interesting. Looking forward to Ghost Assassin? Most definitely – it can’t come out soon enough.
Sit back and enjoy a bit of intrigue, a lot of blood and a whole lot of love. The Party is Over will definitely hold your interest from start to finish especially if you are an arm-chair sleuth and love romantic suspense.
