"A wedding is the beginning of the end." -Lochlan Blaine
Look, I've seen firsthand what marriage does to a man. I'm not interested. You want to take the leap? Fine. But have the decency to elope. Leave me out of it.
And then I see her. The happily-ever-after-loving bridesmaid at the wedding I couldn't get out of.
This flower-wielding bombshell is all wrong for me. But one night together is enough to convince me that she could be the answer to my problem. All I need is three weeks with her...
"Weddings are magic." -Tilly Camden
I love love. And weddings. That's how I land the best job in the world: professional bridesmaid. Brides hire me to make sure their big day goes off without a hitch...usually while dressed in taffeta.
I can't wait until I find the one. The cranky, three-piece-suit-wearing Adonis who smirks at the idea of happily ever after is definitely not him. Lochlan Blaine has "heartbreaker" written all over him.
I should know better. But when a panty-melting one-night stand turns into an offer I can't refuse, what's a bridesmaid to do? It's only three weeks. It's just business.
I can't possibly get my heart broken. Can I?
Hot, steamy, funny, and filled with characters that you will love (even the ones that grow on you); I adored Without A Hitch. ~ Sharon – Simply Love Books
This book was filled with so much laughter it should come with a warning. Two people meet at a wedding but one is using a fake name and there’s a good reason for it, but the fact neither can quite forget each other makes it interesting when they run into each other again. Hot, steamy, funny, and filled with characters that you will love (even the ones that grow on you); I adored Without A Hitch.
Tilly has a full time job working for her brother in law, but she falls into a wedding gig keeping bridesmaids and sometimes mother’s of the bride in line. She uses the name Abbey, it’s just easier to keep that part of her life separate and she doesn’t even think about using her real name when she has a hot one night stand with Blaine and leaves before he awakens. That’s how a one night stand works right? Well Blaine (actually Lochlan Blaine) isn’t so happy being left and not even a note and sets out to find the mysterious Abbey.
Talk about a serious opposite attract story; Lochlan is rude and used to having his own way and vows never to marry and Tilly is sweet and used to always putting other’s needs before her own and she has been planning her wedding since she was 10 years old. And while their outlook on marriage and personalities might be way different the heat between them was off the charts hot. While Tilly tries to stay away from Lochlan she finds it difficult and she knows this is going to lead to heartbreak and Lochlan tries to break down her resistance at every turn. He doesn’t understand why they just can’t be together until one of them wants out.
There are a lot of side characters in this story and many provide the hilarious laughs throughout; Lochlan’s father was a hoot and Tilly’s downstairs neighbor who has absolutely no filter will keep you in stitches.
I love when I pick up a book by a new to me author and it turns out to be something I love and can’t wait to tell friends about. Moving beyond their doubts and realizing that sometimes the risk is worth it, this couple finds a way to be together despite their different views on love.
