All she wanted for Christmas was a boyfriend for the holidays…
All he wanted was for her to take her crappy first dates elsewhere…

Quirky Holly Jackson was unlucky in love, yet her romantic heart refused to give up her search for companionship—even after her fiancé left her at the altar on Christmas Eve.

Grumpy restaurant owner Kai Kane wanted nothing to do with love. Unfortunately for him, when an eccentric Holly kept entering his restaurant nightly with a different first date, his annoyance grew.

When Kai volunteered to help Holly find a suitor it was for one reason only: to get her out of his restaurant and on to a second date with someone at a different location.

It was all going great until Kai became increasingly jealous of the connection Holly developed with another man. The more Holly fell for Kai’s pick for her, the more overprotective he became.

Kai quickly realized that all wasn’t fair when it came to love and the holidays.
He was going to have to step up his game if he wanted a shot at the ultimate prize—being Holly’s favorite date.

*The Holly Dates is a steamy, full-length romantic comedy.*

Every time a read a book by Brittainy Cherry she impresses me with her unique writing style, her amazing character development, and the twists and turns in the story and despite The Holly Dates being a rom-com holiday story, it contained all of those characteristics and more.    ~ Sharon – Simply Love Books

Every time a read a book by Brittainy Cherry she impresses me with her unique writing style, her amazing character development, and the twists and turns in the story and despite The Holly Dates being a rom-com holiday story, it contained all of those characteristics and more.  Two people who have loved and been hurt have a meet-ugly that turns into friendship and more in this funny yet emotional romance.

Despite the last year of her life being in turmoil, Holly is a good person; quirky and sweet with a dash of sassy she tells her mother she’s bringing someone home for Christmas but the problem is she hasn’t dated and after what happened on Christmas Eve last year she doesn’t trust easily. Deciding she needs to find someone she gets on all the dating apps and uses the new restaurant around the corner from her apartment as her safe place to bring dates. She figures it can be her “Cheers” she just doesn’t realize that they man she had a literal run in with is one of the owners.

Kai can’t believe the unaware of her surroundings woman has decided Mano, his and his business partner’s new restaurant, as a place to bring her dates. He also can’t believe how invested he is in her dating life especially when he offers to teach her how to date starting with her believing she is worthy of being treated better. Kai has some baggage from childhood and adulthood and he has pretty much decided he doesn’t need anyone but his friend/business partner and most importantly his much younger brother who spends his school year with him. Mano (yes he named the restaurant after his baby bro) is quite possibly one of my favorite side characters ever; I seriously have a crush on this teenage boy and am waiting for him to get older so Ms. Cherry can find him his perfect match.

From the minute these two meet their chemistry is off the charts and their banter is even better, as Holly spends time at the bar in the restaurant she begins to realize that Kai’s gruff exterior is a mask and she does everything possible to get it to drop, often succeeding much to his consternation. Yet Kai will also admit to himself and confide in his brother Mano that there’s something about Holly that makes him feel better, makes life easier, and to say Mano helps his brother go after the girl is putting it mildly.  Just saying it again Mano is awesome.

While this book is peppered with funny moments, author Brittainy Cherry adds in plenty of emotion and a dash of spice making it a perfect recipe for love. The Holly Dates is the best new release holiday romance I have read in 2022, and I highly recommend it.

Brittainy Cherry has been in love with words since the day she took her first breath. She graduated from Carroll University with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Creative Writing.
