Keeping a low profile is tough for Texas’s Sexiest Bachelor. Could a pretend relationship solve the problem? Find out in the first Devil’s Bluffs novel by Stacey Kennedy!

‘Yeah, cowboy, we’ve got a deal.’ And a very real fake engagement!

Being named Texas’s Sexiest Bachelor is the opposite of fun for divorced rancher Colter Ward. So when old friend Adeline Harlow shows up determined to land an exclusive interview, they strike a deal to form a fake relationship. The one flaw? Everyone believes they’re headed for happily-ever-after! But with Adeline returning to New York and Colter’s family needing him in Devil’s Bluff, where will they end up?

Mills & Boon Desire — Luxury, scandal, desire — welcome to the lives of the elite.

I loved this book from beginning to end; interesting characters, a compelling story, and a happily ever after they both deserved.  ~ Sharon – Simply Love Books

I have to commend Stacey Kennedy for writing a book set in Texas with cowboys and not one stereotype in the whole story. I loved this fake relationship that becomes more despite living very different lives in very different places.

The very last thing Colter Ward needed was being named Texas’s Sexiest Bachelor after a picture of him rescuing a calf goes viral. He doesn’t want the attention, he’s tired of the women coming on to him and he just wants to lead his quiet life post-divorce. He has no use for the big city woman who sits down next to him at the bar but upon realizing she’s “little Adeline Harlow” who used to babysit his brother and went to high school with him he decides she might be just what he needs to get the women off his back. He proposes that she pretend to be his girlfriend while she’s in town for two weeks and he’ll give her the interview she’s after to further her career. What could go wrong?

When a picture of something very innocent goes viral, Adeline and Colter end up spending way more time together than they planned but that just lets them both get to know one another even better. Their attraction ignites, but their friendship is the root of their relationship. I loved how intrigued they were by each other and while their feelings grow Adeline has no intentions of living in a small town again and Colter is tied to the ranch.

Ms. Kennedy’s skilled writing makes the reader feel every emotion as this couple navigates both the highs and lows life brings.

I loved this book from beginning to end; interesting characters, a compelling story, and a happily ever after they both deserved.
