#1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan explores uncharted territory in the new Torpedo Ink Motorcycle Club novel.

When Savin "Savage" Pajari and Seychelle Dubois first met, their connection was instant, their attraction undeniable. Their relationship has been full throttle since day one. Even though months have passed, the passion and love between them has only increased.

Savage completely owns what he is: a sadist in the bedroom who can only get off on his partner's pain. He believes he's not a good man, but he loves Seychelle with a fierceness that shocks him. He wants all of her, but only if she gives herself freely with eyes wide open.

Seychelle never imagined the lure of mixing pain with pleasure, or how much she'd crave Savage's darkness. She's been shaken to her core, but Seychelle is committed to Savage and their life together--even though he's keeping a piece of himself back. And to truly make their relationship work, he has to give her everything that he is, just as she is doing for him.

Savage knows that what he really needs could break his woman if she isn't ready. She agreed to come into his world, and he's not about to give her up. He has to find a way to let her see the monster inside without pushing her away. But the real Savage might be more than Seychelle can bear...and he knows he wouldn't survive losing her.

Savage Road is an edgier, gritty and sensual story that isn’t an easy read, yet is  very satisfying in the end. ~ Amanda – Simply Love Books

Trigger Warning: Savage Road contains scenes, and refers to graphic violence, rape, murder, torture, child prostitution, and abuse against children, women and men, and may not be suitable for more sensitive readers.

Savage Road is the second story in the duet of Savage and Seychelle’s romance, and I have mixed feelings about it. Half of the book I liked and the other half I did not. Let’s begin with the good part and why I liked it. I felt the second half of the book truly was the heart of the story that dealt with the relationship between the two main characters, the growing tensions between rival clubs, and the side stories that involved other members of Torpedo Ink. It flowed well, engrosses the reader and told the evolving relationship of Savage and Seychelle. There are favorite characters from Sea Haven that are involved in this story and it’s good to see them make an appearance in these stories. You also can feel the tension building before the big run and throughout the weekend when the president of Torpedo Inc insisted that Seychelle come with them. That tension climaxed at the campsite for Savage and Seychelle, and you see a strong woman stand up for herself with resolve.

As for why I didn’t care for Savage Road, it all began in the first book. The first in this duo, Annihilation Road, ended on a ‘to be continued, there’s more’ and the reader is still confronted with an unsettled situation in the first half of Savage Road. Seychelle hasn’t come to terms with her desire of pleasure with pain, and Savage was too busy being controlling, high-handed and domineering. I understand he is a sexual sadist but I think the author went a little overboard with the sex and sadism. The first half of the book dragged on and less would have been more.

Overall, once it got towards the second half of the book, the story was interesting and had a few surprises along the way. The introduction of a new player ratchet up the number of problems for Torpedo Ink making them another target for elimination. The cast of characters is vast and it’s still anyone’s guess where the overarch of the series is still far from being over. I am committed in the series and look forward to more members getting their story told and wonder about the men and women she matches them with. Savage never thought there would be a woman who could love him, all of him, and it took a special kind with powers of her own, to match him in many ways. Savage Road is an edgier, gritty and sensual story that isn’t an easy read, yet is a very satisfying in the end.
