What’s cooking for Christmas? A hot serving of insta-lust with a side order of fake fiancé.

Life-long anxiety isn’t going to stop Elisa De Luca from enjoying her sister’s Christmas engagement party. She’s got a process, and as long as things don’t get too chaotic she’ll be okay. And then, she suddenly finds herself engaged to a hot, hot, hot Aussie—five minutes after meeting him—and chaos is the word of the day.

Super-chef Angus Daniels doesn’t do relationships, but the second he meets Elisa De Luca he’s drawn to her. Big time. When the shy American inexplicably saves him from a sharkish TV producer hellbent on making him the titular star on a bachelor show, Angus begins to question everything he thought he wanted.

A fake engagement requires a fake relationship, but it doesn’t take long for Elisa and Angus to realise there’s nothing fake about what’s happening between them. But when reality feeds baggage, and anxiety nibbles at certainty, love at first sight might not be enough for a happy Christmas. Or a Happy Ever After, full stop.

***A Note from Lexxie: Insta-love is the name of the game in The De Luca Sisters trilogy. That powerful moment that shakes both people to the core and changes everything for them in a single look. Buckle up. Things are about to get fast and wild and fun.***

Hot Aussie Night was a quick, hot, insta-love read, and no one does those better than Lexxie Couper. ~ Sharon – Simply Love Book Reviews

Lexxie Couper always, always packs a lot into her novellas and in addition manages to write hot love at first sight romances like no other. Hot Aussie Night is the second book in her DeLuca sister’s series and I loved this fun, sexy, witty romance that also explored issues of abuse and anxiety with care and knowledge.

Elisa DeLuca arrives in Australia for her sister’s engagement party and is practically run over by a hot Aussie getting off the plane, but when he drops his Passport she does the right thing and picks it up to give it back to him and from that moment sparks fly between her an Angus Daniels. Just as she’s about to give him her contact info he gets a call for a woman and Elisa can’t get away fast enough all while trying to manage the anxiety that’s been eating at her since she got off the plane.  When her sister and soon to be brother in law take her and her other sister Zeta for breakfast, she’s surprised to see her hot Australian and to find out he’s her soon to be brother in law’s best friend from childhood. Small world, fate, who knows but soon she’s claiming to be his fiancée to get an overzealous reality television producer off his back and agreeing to spend the day with him.

These two go from zero to ninety-five in the span of a couple of hours and I was there for it without reservations. The heat between them was smokin’ hot but they also shared so much of themselves with each other in the time they spent together. I loved how Elisa opened up about her anxiety and her past relationship that left her a bit more broken and when Angus was upset and tried to let her go, she was strong and made him understand he was more than his past and more than his parents.

Hot Aussie Night was a quick, hot, insta-love read, and no one does those better than Lexxie Couper.
