Caelin Blackfoot
For eight years Justice Walker has been the woman haunting my dreams. Now she's grown, and it's no longer a dream.
It's reality.
I enjoyed Restraint by Laramie Briscoe. I loved watching Justice grow from a timid adolescent to a confident and brave young women. ~ Paige – Simply Love Book Reviews
Restraint is the 5th book in the Heaven Hill Generation series. We were introduced to Caelin and Justice in previous book so to get the full enjoyment of their story this series needs to be read in order. With that said, I was anxious to see how the author would bring these two characters together. Both grew up together in the MC world of Heaven’s Hill and knew the complications of such. The author blended the past MC world with the present to bring suspense along with their romance.
Justice has always longed for Caelin however she’s 6 years his junior. Caelin also felt a connection with Justice. The pair share a bond that kept them connected to the past but helped them grow as friends into the future. Once Justice turned 18 there wasn’t’ anything holding them back. Justice was an easily likeable character. Because of her past, she was guarded and shy. She didn’t trust easily but was able to let her guard down easily with Caeilin. I would have liked to see more of courtship between them. It was pretty cut and dry. She turned 18 and they started in a relationship. He knew what needed to be done to protect her and didn’t hesitate to make it happen.
The ending of this book is what has stayed with me. I thought Justice broke through her fears and really stood out as a brave young women. I enjoyed watching her grow in the final chapter but wish we would have seen more of her spirt in the book instead of just the ending. I also found parts of storyline was similar to another books in the series. I may not have noticed so much but I read the books back to back.
The final chapter give us a glimpse of her sister and I can’t wait to see what she has instore for us!
