I truly sit at this computer, and have hardly any words for how much I enjoyed Fisher’s Light. I fell
in love with Tara’s writing with her romantic comedies, but my goodness did she really capture my heart with this one. When reading a book about a man or woman that has PTSD, my heart is usually engaged, but this book took it to a new heights. You could just tell from page one that Tara really cared about the subject she was writing about. It was no rushed through fluff piece.
Fisher is a character that sadly we have to many real people like. War tore a hole in him, and he had to fight tooth and nail to get that piece back. He is home now to fight to get the one person that makes him whole back now. He is truly in the fight of his life.
Lucy was there through every deployment, and ever return where Fisher became less the man she fell in love with at such a young age. But that last return, he kicked her out. When she received the divorce papers, it crushed any hope she had for him coming back. Now she is ready to move on with her life the best way she can, but he is back and everywhere on the island reminds her of him. She is doing her best to resist letting him break the little pieces that are left of her heart.
Their journey back to each other is one that will rip you apart, but truly you will come out of it whole and wonderful. This book gave me such a hangover. I had to process if for about a week, so that I could sit down and write this review for it. I have been singing it’s praises to everyone I know. This is truly a must read!!!!! If I could give it a hundred stars, I would. I truly hope y’all enjoy this book as much as I did.
