I loved the fact that this author wrote a tough as nails heroine that wasn’t afraid to go after what she wanted and refused to let Austin run away from her just because he was scared. ~ Guilty Pleasures
Description:
“I can give you exactly what you’re asking for, Janie, and I can give it to you all night long.”
Their first kiss is impulsive, fun, a little wicked–everything Jane Elliot isn’t looking for in a man–but desperately needs. Their second kiss is slow, deliberate, an instant connection–everything Austin Sinclair never had with a woman–and doesn’t want.
Jane isn’t the easy conquest Austin’s used to. She’s a stubborn-as-hell bookworm who’s more interested in studying than dating. She needs a little–no–a lot of fun in her life, and Austin’s just the guy who can give it to her. Too bad she thinks love should be easy. Too bad Austin knows it isn’t.
Everybody told her to stay away from the heartbreaker, but Jane knows there’s more to Austin than full-body contact kisses and bad boy charm. All he ever promised her was a good time and wow, does he ever deliver….
A steamy romance sure to get your juices flowing. FOR ADULTS ONLY.
I definitley didn’t expect for a New Adult book to be as steamy as Tell Me You Want Me was. What a pleasant surprise! After seeing his parents disfuctional marriage go up in flames, Austin decided that protecting his heart from love was the smartest thing he could ever do. The last thing this “campus stud” expected was to be told no in his pursuit of bookworm, soccer player, plain Jane.
There were so many aspects of this book that I just loved. The fact that this romance was told from both perspectives just added to the story of Jane and Austin. It wouldn’t have felt right to only have one of the characters POV. Ms. James did a fantastic job of writing some very enjoyable characters. Austin’s best friend Jack added the perfect amount of comic relief when things started to get serious and the one liners between those two were classic.
I loved the fact that this author wrote a tough as nails heroine that wasn’t afraid to go after what she wanted and refused to let Austin run away from her just because he was scared. It’s refreshing to read a book where the female has enough back bone to never back down from a challenge.
Both Jane and Austin grew up in circumstances beyond their control that could have caused serious damage to each of them as adults and I loved getting read about these two people overcoming all of that and choosing their own destiny. Tell Me You Want Me is just more proof that a New Adult book can contain everything we older women could possibly want in a romance.
