An innocent lady’s education could be a gentleman’s wicked seduction.

Lysandra Keates is running out of options. Her father is dead, her mother is ill, and her efforts to find respectable employment have ended in failure. With her small savings bleeding away, she swallows her pride—and her terror—and turns to Vivien Manning, an infamous courtesan, to match her with a wealthy protector.

For years, Viscount Andrew Callis has lived a monastic existence at his country estate, hardening his body against the snobbish, lazy young man he once was, hardening his heart against grief over the deaths of his wife and infant son. When Vivien asks him to spend one month training a young woman in the ways of a mistress, his mind resists…but his body responds with an ache he thought long dead.

As Andrew begins his gentle tutelage, he finds himself falling under the spell of Lysandra’s innocent charms. And as they give in to the powerful hunger, the last thing Andrew ever expected, or wanted, forms between them. An emotional connection that could carry them well past the training period—if only Andrew can open his heart to the possibility of love.

ARC Review

To whomever loves 19th century historical romance this is sure to become a series that you will want to read.  It starts off with a young woman Lysandra, going to the most renowned Matchmaker for the wealthy men of the ton, Vivien Manning.

Lysandra had the choice of going hungry or use the one resource she possessed in her favor in order to make a comfortable living for both her and her mother. She falls upon a widower Andrew Callis for a month so he can train her how to be a mistress to the ton. During the course of the month they become more comfortable with each other, his need to be her protector and her need to support her mother made a tangled mess. While training her he began to see her for more than just a woman he was training for another man. Lysandra was falling head over heels in love with him from his gentleness with her and how he was protecting her. He was everything that she had wanted and then some, but around every corner he was trying to push her away and the harder he pushed the harder she fell.

When plans go awry sparks fly resulting in a historical romance, with loveable characters and super hot love scenes.  I cannot wait for the second book in the series.

I went straight to B&N to read more about this author that I have not heard about. Thanks for highlighting yet another “new” author. I love historical romance so this is right up my alley. WHAT have I been reading all these years?!?
