ACK!!! I went against my NEVER read novella stand and read this…and DAMMIT I LOVED it. There are two reasons I don’t like to read novellas, EITHER they are too short and I can’t get to know the H/h OR they are two short and I LOVE the H/h and CAN’T get enough of them. WELL Jillian’s master is the latter, I absolutely LOVE Master G and Jillian.

I can soo see myself in Jillian, independent, take charge, strong woman who’s wanting to explore the sub side of me, give that exchange of power, but too scared to do it….Master G – TOTALLY the kind of Dom I’d want, When Master G wakes up and finds his sub for Friday night gone, he is livid. Jillian and Gunner’s reactions when they realize who each other is at a meeting Monday morning were great, I could feel Jillian’s fear and shock and Gunner’s anger and passion. Ms. McKenzie does a great job of showing you the H/h emotions and building the relationship, which is something I find lacks in alot of the novellas, I’ve read. The smexing in this book are super hot, have you a fan and stock up on batteries if your SO isn’t home. Master G has what it takes to make me a quivering puddle on the floor.
This is the first time I’ve read anything by CM, but I will definitely go back and read the rest of the Club Esoteria books, even if they are novellas. I’ve been told they can be read stand alone, but for the remainder I will read in order, cause I’m anal like that. I didn’t feel lost by reading JM 1st, but I know I want to visit Club Esoteria again and again =)
