Do you have an Inner Sub waiting to come out???

Since starting this blog the response and support of BDSM romance fans and authors has been AMAZING!!!  There have also been a lot of readers email me saying they are interested in BDSM, so far all have been interested in their inner subbie.  I am in NO way an authority, don’t even know much about BDSM except what I’ve read in erotic romance.  Am I interested…well yeah..but not in pain, torture, humiliation, which is what I used to think BDSM was all about.  Unfortunately, many people think the same thing and cast negative opinions on those who live the BDSM lifestyle. They don’t realize the “softer” side of it, those who only want sensual pain, or where a Dom and sub are in a committed relationship, the Dom’s main focus is providing for his sub, giving her everything she needs and wants, while still letting her be whoever she wants to be outside of the “bedroom.” There are also D/s who live the lifestyle 24/7.  Actually, there are many variations to BDSM, it’s all about what each person involved wants.

Please remember if you chose to explore this world do so with caution.  One of my all time favorite BDSM authors, Cherise Sinclair,  puts the following statement in the front of all of her books and you all should keep this in mind:

” To my readers,

This book is fiction, not reality and, as in most romantic fiction, the romance is compressed into a very, very short time period.

You, my darlings, live in the real world and I want you to take a little more time than the heroines you read about. Good Doms don’t grow on trees and there’s some strange people out there. So while you’re looking for that special Dom, please be careful.

When you find him, realize he can’t read your mind. Yes, frightening as it might be, you’re going to have to open up and talk to him. And you listen to him, in return.  Share your hopes and fears, what you want from him, what scares you spitless. Okay, he may try to push your boundaries a little – he’s a Dom, after all- but you have your safeword, am I clear? Use protection.  Have a back up person, communicate.

Remember: safe, sane and consensual.”      Excerpt  from Club Shadowlands, Author’s Note by Cherise Sinclair

If the world of BDSM is something you wish to explore, I hope you take this all to heart.  As I said I am not an authority, but if you have a question you can’t find someone to answer, let me know, maybe I can help you find a source.

Hugs to All!!
